At Skinner’s we are proud of our history of bringing Brookings some of the most interesting and varied beers from around the world. In an effort to further entice your connoisseurship, Skinner’s Pub proudly serves our beer from the Blizzard Beer System, a specialized draught system that allows us to offer you the coldest, purest and true taste of our 25 featured draught brews.

Traditional forced air systems that most bars feature keep the beer at roughly the same temperature as the cooler is, typically 42 degrees, but it can vary greatly due to cooler traffic. Our Blizzard Beer System will pour the perfect beer at a temperature ranging from 27 degrees to 29 degrees, pint after pint, and tall after tall.

The “Blizzard” System also integrates a McDantim Trumix Gas Blender, allowing for the perfect mix of CO2 and Nitrogen. The McDantim blender is the only Guinness approved as blender currently available. CO2 is an active ingredient affecting the taste of your beer, and by utilizing our gas blender you get the perfect mix, allowing for the truest taste to your pint.
